Valère Vandecruys wins Life Achievement Award

During the Travel Magazine Awards 2011, Valère Vandecruys, CEO of Gateway, has received the “Life Achievement Travel Industry 2011” award. This award comes as recognition for a successful career in the travel industry, which has been lasting for over 25 years now. The award was announced during the TM Award ceremony on Friday, November 18th at the Hilton hotel in Antwerp.

Valère Vandecruys founded Gateway in 1990 and soon grew out to become a pioneer in the travel business, regarding software for comparing and booking air fares. More than 20 years later, Gateway is an important player on the market of travel software and booking engines are offered for flights, hotels, transfers and rental cars. “I wish to thank Travel Magazine for the recognition during the past TM Awards. I hope to spend many more successful years in the travel industry.”, says Valère Vandecruys, CEO Gateway.
